Since Jers are all over the world, it is hard for many of us to meet face to face. It has a different tone and flavor from the Forums and the Wiki its informality and immediacy complements those mediums. It is similar to instant messenging (IM), but provides a mechanism for any number of participants to talk it is not merely a dialog.
